Charles University is the third oldest university north of the Alps. Students want to know whether that medieval pedigree translates into practical advantages in the modern medical job market, specifically when applying for residency in Germany, the UK, or North America.

So i keep seeing Charles University advertised with this whole “Founded in 1348” thing and honestly it does sound impressive on paper. but does that actually mean anything when im sitting in front of a residency committee in like 2030? or is it just a nice line for the brochure and the marketing emails. Genuinely curious if anyone here has seen it make a real difference or if its basically just trivia at this point.
